The inaugural Asia Pacific Global Export Forum was held on September 23, 2013. The forum provided a unique opportunity for over 400 attendees, representing small- and medium-sized Ontario businesses, manufacturers and high-tech firms, to learn about export opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, including China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Australia.
The business program featured over 40 speakers, including many Ontario companies sharing their successful export experience in the Asia Pacific region, business development case studies, best practices for navigating unique market challenges, and updates on market opportunities with a focus on the advanced manufacturing, automotive, agri-food, clean tech (environment, water), infrastructure, and information and communications technology sectors.
Presentations are available for download on the Business Program page.
The Hon. Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, and the Hon. Dr. Eric Hoskins, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment also attended the Asia Pacific Global Export Forum, and announced Ontario’s Going Global Trade Strategy, which is designed to help expand the province’s presence in global markets, grow the economy and create jobs.
